I am bossy. There, I said it. Contrary to popular believe, I do not feel better having confessed it. Even so, it is true that all my life I have known what people should do, and I have had the boldness to speak it to them. (My siblings are emphatically agreeing here). Thankfully, I love people and am usually kind, so my bossiness did not make many enemies. But it did create perplexing moments. As a young girl my mother would try to explain to me that my standards are right, but that not everyone needs, or even wants, to live up to these standards. At that statement confusion about my life's purpose began.
Not any more.
Last month I attended a women's conference with ladies who are seeking God for this season in life. So was I. Talk about feeling awkward! There were gentle ladies, mild ladies, and servant ladies. There were organized ladies and crazy ladies.
And then there was me.
It even got so frustrating that I found myself copying verses from ancient scripture text about the wisdom in keeping one's mouth shut. Does anyone else relate? PLEASE??
Then I spent some time reviewing the messages given and my life over the past 51 years. It was my aha moment. This boldness to help and speak up is a gift, not a woman running amuck! Our culture is seeking for compassionate truth-giving.
We need some she-lions. According to Nature Center Magazine, "A female lion can call out for roaming or lost cubs, and she can give a roar to bring the other adult pride members back to help in case of danger." As a she lion for the soul of the nation and a trumpet call of alarm to the church I will not be ashamed of the roar of truth.

I must roar the call of repentance to heal our land before another child believes the lie of failure, before another person gets stuck on the hamster wheel of untested medications, before another mother buries her child. I will roar before our nation's soul perishes.

Some call it bossy; I call it appointed.
Some call it presumptuous; He calls it anointed.
Some say untimely, but our nation's unjointed.
Until the church is no longer so tainted we must roar over the miles.
I am roaring out for other members to come help me roar to bring home the lost cubs and to alert of danger.
Join me?
