Worship as a spiritual alignment:
¨The human body craves alignment. When we are properly aligned, our bones-not our muscles-support our weight without effort or strain¨ This chiropractic quote is also illuminating to our Christian walk. When we are aligned in our relationship with Christ, He keeps becomes the strength...the backbone that we need. Yet, too often the Church sees worship as 3 songs and a clap of praise. If that is not worship, what is? This timely word will kindle you to see your hourly walk in a way that has you reaching up and reaching out.
When it seems as if your faith is stronger than your husband´s:
Whether you see yourself as being from Venus or your husband like Waffles (With respects toward authors Gray and Farrell), husbands and wives may be equal in the sight of God, but they are not the same. Therefore, the manner in which each walks with the Lord is different. Too often, women wonder if there is any faith at all in their husbands. Without being condescending, this candid talk empowers wives and fiancés to walk beside their men-not in competition with them.
Racial Unity: Building it up, not breaking it down:
Having 3 ethnicities in my immediate family and being a Law Enforcement wife has taught me to examine and live above the daily conflicts presented by both of these challenging situations. Here, I look at what the Bible says about unity and races. I will share how my family has chosen to see it lived out in home and in churches.
When your blended family is more gray than black and white:
Let's be frank: Adoption is a sweet but it is not a cakewalk. Have you wondered if birth, culture, or skin color affects a child in an adoption situation? Is it nature or nurture? Biological or Spiritual? What are some things that my husband and I have learned in becoming parents again in their 40s to two ethnically diverse infants? Have a cup of coffee and we will chat.
